These wonderful wooden Saori shuttles are a pleasure to use and come in a range of weights and sizes to suit all preferences. They are designed to work perfectly with Saori looms but are compatible with other looms too.

The Medium boat shuttle is ergonomic and comfortable and good for most types of weaving. Compatible with medium sized bobbins with or without flange. 34cm long, 4cm wide, 3cm high.

The Medium Lightweight shuttle is the same shape and size as the Medium but made from a wood about a third lighter so is especially useful for people with limited grip or weakness in hands, wrists or arms.

The Large is useful for heavier/chunkier yarns as the compatible large bobbins are longer and can hold more yarn. 41.5cm long, 5cm wide, 3.6cm high. For weaving with rags or super chunky yarns you may also want to consider a Sakiori shuttle.

The Small is a mini boat shuttle, useful for narrow projects, tapestry style weaving or inserting small areas of alternative yarn into your weaving. Compatible with small sized bobbins (no flange). 24cm long, 3.5cm wide, 2cm high.

With the Medium with no Spindle you can simply insert the medium-sized bobbins into the open top and thread the yarn through the exit hole. It is easy to handle but you need to keep the shuttle the right way up otherwise the bobbin can fall out. The lack of a spindle makes this shuttle very safe to use and is especially useful when weaving with children. 29.5cm long, 4.2cm wide, 3cm high.
