Weaving sessions are held in my light and airy studio in Stroud or for larger groups I will hire a room in a nearby local studio (currently 1:1 only).

Alternatively, I will be very happy to arrange group sessions
at a location to suit you (currently unavailable).

Update - September 2020
I can now offer 1:1 tuition at my studio again so beginners and more experienced weavers are welcome to come and explore the wonderful world of Saori weaving. I will have a loom ready for you to start weaving straight away and a treasure trove of colourful yarns to use.
With a 1:1 session you will have uninterrupted time to relax and enjoy yourself with personal tuition and support.
£35/hour
My usual studio hours are 1-5 on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then 10-4 on a Thursday. Weekends and other times available by arrangement.

Out & About

Picture

My Saori looms are highly portable and can be used in a wide variety of settings.

I can bring up to four looms and a variety of colourful yarns to the venue of your choice, or arrange a venue if required.

A Saori workshop is a fun and unusual idea for a birthday or other celebration and is ideal way for craft groups to try out weaving without having to invest in all of the equipment.

Please email or call 07421 462 824 for more info.

"What Can I make?"

Saori woven cloth can be made into a wide variety of items, including scarves, bags, wall-hangings, clothing, cushions, rugs, bunting, table runners, flags, community banners and more. Often it is good to try sitting at the loom with an open mind, choosing the colours and yarns as you go along and only deciding an end purpose once the weaving has been taken off the loom and it's qualities revealed.

Saori weaving is enjoyed by people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds across the world. The Piccolo loom is suitable for even very young children to use; attachments are available for people with physical disabilities to weave and some of the most extraordinary and imaginative Saori weavings are produced by people with learning disabilities.
